This one-day course is the ideal starting point for healthcare professionals looking to build confidence and competence in joint injections.
Designed for both beginners and those wishing to refresh their skills, it combines structured, evidence-based teaching with extensive, supervised hands-on practice on Anatomical Models.
On successful completion, you will receive an RCGP-accredited course certificate with Direct Observation of Procedural Skills (DOPS) sign-off and CPD points.
You will learn how to assess, prepare, and perform a variety of joint injections in line with current clinical guidelines, using anatomical models to ensure accuracy and safety.
Whether you aim to expand your scope of practice or reinforce/refresh your procedural foundation, this course delivers the perfect balance of theory, practical technique, and confidence-building experience — equipping you with skills you can apply immediately in your primary care setting.
One Day
6 Hours
This comprehensive training combines both theoretical and practical components.
A strong theoretical foundation is essential for safe and effective clinical practice; however, theory alone does not guarantee competency in joint injection techniques. Our aim is for you to gain a solid understanding of the theoretical concepts in advance, enabling the majority of the course day to be devoted to hands-on practice using anatomical models.
Upon enrolling, you will receive a link to access the online preparatory materials. We strongly recommend working through these in full before attending, to ensure you arrive with a clear grasp of the principles — allowing you to focus on developing your practical skills and procedural confidence during the training day.
